Lee,
I wanted to thank you and your team especially Lee Hoover for an outstanding experience last week. I am not familiar with the intricacy of planning a fly-fishing outing and both you and Lee made it a seamless event. It was wonderful having Lee at our welcome reception collecting the licensing information and being able to have everything set in advance of our outing.
I received fantastic feedback on the knowledge of the guides. I also truly appreciate all of your flexibility with the planning and the fairness in price and booking on short notice.
If you ever need a reference for a corporate group please feel free to give my name. Thanks, Cindy

Mark,
Thank you! David and I had a blast. I have used guides for the last 4 years and you are the best!
Tell your wife thank you for the great muffins. We did stop at the bakery on the way home! Wow...
Be safe and hope to see you in Sept.
Jeff
Good morning Jim.
I just wanted to drop you a quick email to let you know how much we enjoyed our guided trip last week with Ryan Schmidt on the Colorado River. I fish all over the country and have witnessed the best and worst of fishing guides. Ryan is certainly part of the best. He is one of the most patient and relaxed guides I have ever been with. This was me and my wife's first trip to the Beaver Creek area and it was incredible. We stayed at the Ritz-Carlton and Fly fished on the CO. Does it get any better? We will be back soon and calling you guys again when we come.
Thanks again..

Tim,
What's up man!
I have been slaying fish on every river since you showed me how to fish! I killed it on the Gunnison....The guide I took was really good; got a lot of decent fish, but nothing over like 14 landed...one huge one got off after like 5 mins!
The next 2 days I fished alone near Pleasure Park on the Gunny, and pounded 15's and 17's with one really nice one that snapped me off when I tried to net it! SNACKWATER over there:)
Stayed in Telluride last night(what a place) and fished The Dolores this mornin....caught like 20 fish in 5 hours, but the biggest only went like 13 max.....it was all pocket fishing, and I was getting sweet drifts just to get the 12 inchers....I know there is a 16 or 18 in there somewhere?
Lees Ferry tomorrow.....gota love it!
Anyhow, thanks again for the lifelong fly lesson.....you really helped me out! I would have never caught this many fish!!!!
Jason
Tim,
I wanted to thank you again for the great day we had last Tuesday. My
mom let everybody know how many fish she caught and how much she
enjoyed the day. I know your attitude and personality was a big part
of making her experience such a success. As for me, most any day on
the water is great, but watching my mom catch her first trout was
priceless. I think we created a monster as she's already talking
about gearing up and going out again. I attached a couple pictures from our day for your use.
Thanks again,

Dear Jim Kanda, General Manager,
Just wanted to let you know (if you could pass to Keith as well) that Mr. Daniel Mullins fished with Keith yesterday and came back to the shop today to let me know that he had "an excellent and profession experience with a guide that not only explained everything and was patient, but genuinely seems to care" He went on to further say that GCFF was a fine business and he would use us and Keith again.
Great Job Keith!!!
Dave, Just wanted to send you a short note and thank you for the great day we had on the Eagle River. I felt bad for BB not being able to fish but he said he had more fun watching us. What a great place to fish and the size of the fish were impressive. I would love to be there when the caddis flies make their appearance. Again thanks for all of your knowledge and expertise. Hope to see you again.
Sincerely,
Mark A. Ward
Great Fishing -
I just wanted to write you guys and let you know how much fun my wife, Anna
and I had today fishing with Tim on the Eagle. It was Anna's first fly
fishing trip and Tim worked hard to make it a great trip for both of us.
Tim took plenty of time to work with Anna on casting and fishing techniques
and made her trip enjoyable.
Tim is personable, patient, informed, pleasant, and professional. He worked
hard to get us on the fish and was willing to move when necessary. He is
full of information regarding not only the fish we were after, but what they
ate, what influenced their environment, and the area in general. Not to
mention politics, taxation, and good music.
It was truly a wonderful day in the Rockies for two flat land easterners. I
will recommend your services to others and hope to return with my son for
his first Rocky Mountain flay fishing trip soon.
Thanks for a great day.

Dear Managers:
On August 27th we took the free fly fishing lessons offered by Mike G. in Vail Village. The next day August 28th we went fly fishing on the Eagle River again with Mike G. It was a wonderful experience. Mike had his hands full with three very inexperienced fishermen, with two of us over 60 years old. He was informative and very helpful throughout the day. My feet were not that steady in the water but Mike provided a helping hand for all moves. On our half day trip we brought in 6 fish. Mine was the largest and the last one landed a beautiful brown trout with yellow sides and brilliant red spots. We had many more strikes that our inexperience did not allow us to get in the net. Mike certainly got his workout for the day, constantly moving between the three of us, two on the west side of the river and one on the east. All of the equipment was provided by your service…and after 4 hours of wading in the river my socks were still DRY! Kudos for excellent equipment provided.
Gore Creek fly fisherman gets an A+ for this adventure…Thank you so very much.

Jim,
Two weeks ago, I introduced my 13 year old son, Kamen, to fly fishing in the Vail Valley. Thanks to one of your outstanding guides, Jonathan H., his first day on the water was unbelievable. He landed 14 brown trout in 2 hours.
Once again, thank you and thanks to Gore Creek Fly Fisherman for giving me and my son a once-in-a-lifetime experience in Colorado.
Sincerely,
Bill K
I just wanted to let you know about an exceptional fly fishing trip my son Andy and I had with Ryan S. on July 2nd. Ryan was extremely knowledgeable about the river and the area. He did a great job helping my son fine tune his casting and understanding the insect hatches. Lunch and snacks were excellent. We will certainly be back!
Thanks again for a great day of fishing,
Cris M.
Hi Jim.
My name is Meghan W. I recently took my son, Teague, on a very special vacation to Beaver Creek. I’m a single mom of 3 kids and a high school teacher – so you can imagine what a “treat” the events of Beaver Creek were for myself and Teague.
Teague is a great 14 year old and he loves to fish. I hired Gore Creek Fly Fisherman to take Teague on a half day guided fly fishing trip. First, our “same day” telephone contact with Ray in Beaver Creek shop was so helpful. Ray’s feedback and willingness to try to work out a time so that Teague could be back for the Thursday rodeo was really terrific. I called at 8:30 a.m. and by 10:00 we were in the shop meeting Andy B.
Andy was such a tremendous guide for Teague. In fact, his attention was so kind and thorough; I think he essentially turned a “half day” trip into a full day experience! Teague is still talking about Andy’s gentle yet enthusiastic guidance. Andy had a quick and easy rapport with Teague. He immediately impressed both of us with his love of the outdoors, his respect for nature, and his skilled translation of the beauty of fly fishing. As a teacher, I know one when I see one!
I can assure you that if we ever have the chance to return we will come right to your shop. Thank you so much for knowing a good guide when you see one and for encouraging your staff to help out folks who really want to make their guided trip an experience of a lifetime.
We appreciate your commitment to excellence.
Thanks you so much,
Meghan and Teague W.
Hi Tim,
Charlotte and I want to write you an extra Thanks for giving us a great fly fishing experience.
We learned so much with you patient teaching.
We shall return next summer! You are awesome!!

As promised, I am sending a couple pictures of the monster trout I caught with you on 8-14-08. I had a fabulous time and I appreciate your expertise as my guide.
Thanks again,
Mark
Tim:
I'm sitting out on my deck at the Ritz Carlton finishing up a stogie and reflecting on the day on the Eagle and just wanted to again express my appreciation to you for guiding us today. Despite the slow fishing, I had a great time on the river and really appreciated you pointing me in the direction of some fishy waters. As I mentioned, my wife and I will likely make Avon/Vail a regular destination in the years to come.
When we're back in the area, I'll definitely get in touch to arrange another trip. Thanks again for a great day on a beautiful stream.

Hi,
I was in Vail last weekend on a United Vacations Retreat for travel agents. Since I fish here in Illinois, I jumped at the chance to try fly fishing at a seminar. Wow, I am now sold on both Vail and fly fishing. Tim and Tim were great. They have such a great attitude and a way of teaching that had the 5 of us laughing while still learning. They are the guys you wish your kids had in school. Anyways, outside of me being a spincast fisherperson, they said I was pretty much a natural. Anything to get another flyfisherman~
Please let me know the Tims last names as I will be back next fall with my husband for at least one trip~ Oh and I will be telling everyone I know, both clients and other agents, about my great experience on the Gore Creek~
Thanks for making my trip so fun~

Hello Jim Kanda,
This is a long belated Thank You ! for the fine set of Idlewild flies which during winter you gave to my daughter to give to me. I’m the guy who gave Katey $50 to buy that amt of Anato May nymphs for her, my son Glenn (also in Vail area), and mostly me, as it looks like a nymph and is a good general catcher.
With success, I “used-up” most of the Idlewild flies. Also this winter and spring I fully depleted small stocks of new or in-development flies given to me by two Umpqua fly designers, Gerry Caswell and Andrij Horodysky. So finally I’m pushed to tying (and designing) – usually fussy flies, as I’m not in-market.
A yr ago I retired from teaching biology (including Ichthyology and Aquatic Ecology), and despite still researching the taxonomy and life history of fishes (suckers), I have much more time to trout-fish and collect trout bugs, and I’m luv’n it.
I hope that you have a great season. I plan to drop-in your fine store (Gore Creek Fly fisherman) in mid-July.
Cordially,
Bob Jenkins
