Fishing the Eagle River - The Colorado River is one of Colorado's biggest rivers. Fishing "The Mighty C" can still be fished from a boat but there are some spots along the upper sections that are more conducive to wading. Nymphing is the main bread winner of the Colorado. A bead head fly trailing a couple emergers should produce nicely. There is also a possibility for dry fly action in the slowest sections and in eddies along the banks. Try out some Midge Cluster patterns and attractor dries, like Stimulators. The guides have been having success using Pats rubber legs or any other stone fly patterns and trailing midge and mayfly emergers or soft hackles behind. Keep your rigs towards the banks as the fish have moved to the sides to avoid the faster moving currents.
