Colorado River Report

Colorado River Report

November 22nd, 2021

FLOW: 550.0 cfs (State Bridge)

WATER CONDITIONS: Clearish

FOOD SOURCES PRESENT: Stone Flies, BWO, Midges, Caddis

THE LOW DOWN:  The flows are down making wading the Colorado much easier.  You can still get boats down with some careful navigation.  Streamers are still a great bet this time of year, if that is not working for you, large heavy bugs in riffles and deep runs will do the trick.

Appropriate Patterns

DRIES: Parachute Adams 14-20, Stimulator 14-18, Royal Wulff 14-20

NYMPHS: Pats Rubber Legs 8-12, Prince Nymph 12-18, Pheasant Tail 12-20, Zebra Midge 18-22, RS2 18-22

STREAMERS: Double Gonga, Motor Oil, Mini Leech, Circus Peanut

HINTS:  Sometimes streamers just need a bit more action.  Small “pops” with rod tip will give the streamer more movement and can imitate an injured fish.
