Gore Creek Fishing Report
Gore Creek Report
November 22nd, 2021
FLOW: 10.8 cfs (Above Red Sandstone Creek, Vail)
WATER CONDITIONS: Low, Slow, and Clear
FOOD SOURCES PRESENT: Midges, Annelids, BWO
THE LOW DOWN: With winter approaching we are fishing lite tippet and small bugs. Fish are holding in deeper pools where water temps are more consistent. A heavy nymph rig will get your small bugs down where the fish are and keep them there throughout the whole run. Small streamers will still grab the attention of these fish in the same runs.
Appropriate Patterns
DRIES: H&L Variant 16-20, Parachute Adams 16-24, Trailing Shuck Midge 18-20
NYMPHS: Zebra Midge (Black, Red, Grey) 18-24, RS2 (Black, Grey) 18-24, Pheasant Tail 18-24, Rainbow Warrior 18-22
STREAMERS: Wooley Bugger, Slump Buster
HINTS: Liter tippet sinks quicker to get bugs down faster.
