Eagle River Report

June 15th, 2021

FLOW: 858.0 cfs (Avon Water Treatment Plant)

WATER CONDITIONS: Clear

FOOD SOURCES PRESENT: Midges, Caddis, BWO.

THE LOW DOWN: Water is coming down and fish are starting to spread out a bit. The farther west you go the water starts turning off color, that being said with the off color water, use Girdle bugs or big attractors to grab the attention of the fish. Still fishing the banks and pockets next to the faster water Using Caddis, midges, baetis, and BWO patterns on a nymph rig seems to be what is producing. We will soon be seeing a lot more caddis and will be able to throw drys more and more as the warm weather continues.. If the bite has been getting slow try adding more weight and shorten up that indicator, helps that rig get deeper faster..

Appropriate Patterns
