River Report

Colorado River Report - December 12th, 2019

 

Current Flow -  611 c.f.s. (Near State Bridge)

Clarity - Clear Green (Good Visibility)

Trout Menu - Midge, Mayfly, Caddis, Annelids

Fishing the Colorado River -  The Colorado is still above average flows for this time of year, with most tributaries still releasing above normal flows.  Fishing from a boat will allow you to see many stretches of this beautiful river, but there is still great wading access as well.  Nymphing deep runs will produce fish, as well as throwing streamers.

Hot Flies 

     Nymphs -  Hares Ears, Pheasant tails, RS2, Zebra Midge, Frenichie, Barr's BWO, Rainbow Warrior

     Dries - Extended body BWO, Griffith's Gnat, Parachute Adams, Royal Wulff 

     Streamers - Baby Gonga, Slumpbuster, Zonker, Woolhead Sculpin
