Gore Creek Fly Fisherman has been offering guided fly fishing trips and fly fishing products to the public for over 30 years and is the Vail Valley’s oldest fly fishing shop and most prominent guide service in Vail, Beaver Creek, and Avon, Colorado. Our vast fly fishing knowledge of numerous rivers including the Eagle River, Gore Creek, the Colorado River, the Roaring Fork River, the Yampa River as well as high-country streams and lakes is second to none. This translates into unparalleled accessibility to the best fishing anywhere with guides that will take your fly fishing experience to another level - turning it into an everlasting memory that you will want to share with your family and friends for the rest of your life.
Gore Creek Fly Fisherman operates out of five locations during the summer. Now that we are into Fall with Winter right around the corner, all of our stores have closed for the year. We will continue to offer our guiding service throughout the off-season so if you make it to Vail this Winter give us a call and let our guides share with you thier passion for fly fishing. The entire experience during the Winter is truely unique to our valley. Where else can you can go from a busy lift line in the morning to a stretch of river that belongs only to you in the afternoon? Ski for two days then enjoy a bit of hydrotherapy for a day, chasing trout while the sun sparkles on every flake of snow falling from the Winter sky. We will take you wade fishing from 11 am-2pm, the warmest time of the day or enjoy a winter float fishing trip on the lower Colorado River, West of Glenwood Springs where the mid-Winter temps get into the 40's. You will experience hatching Midges all winter long and have the opportunity to cast a dry fly to rising trout in January. Our guides are trained on Winter techniques and will help you dissect every run, riffle and pool until you find the fish and what they are feeding on. You practically need to bump the fish right in the mouth with your fly during the colder months. They are lethargic from the cold water and dont want to exert much energy to get food, but they need to eat daily and are anxiously looking for thier next meal. This is your opportunity to feed them.

*Fully licensed, professional guides trained on how to catch fish all year long
